WPNA Fall Picnic Rescheduled for - Oct 26th, 5-8 PM

We have rescheduled the picnic due to inclement weather.

The new date is now SUNDAY OCT 26TH - from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Winnona Park Elementary. Same place, same time, same fun! Just Loaf'n and WOW Food Trucks, The Winnona Riders, and our Face Painters are all re-booked! We may even throw in some Halloween fun...more to come!

The Votes are in! WPNA has a new logo.

The votes are in and the Winnona Park Neighborhood Association (WPNA) has completed their quest for a new organizational logo. We received such high quality, creative logo designs and neighborhood input was extraordinary.

We'd like to congratulate Jennifer Reed the designer of our new WPNA logo. That logo is attached here and can also be found on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WPNADecaturGA. You'll be seeing much more of this logo as it rolls out across our communication outlets, forms, merchandise, etc.

We'd like to thank all the wonderfully creative people who submitted designs and all those who participated in our voting process.

WPNA Fall Picnic - Oct 12th, 5-8 PM

We will have Food Trucks (% goes back to WPNA), Face Painting, Corn Hole, other activities for the family, and the Winnona Riders return this year to provide musical entertainment!

Also, we will have the first Winnona Park neighborhood LOGO item...so come and get it so you can show your WP pride!

There will also be raffle items at the picnic on October 12th - you could win a gift certificate to local restaurants including Souper Jenny, The Pinewood, and Wahoo Grill!

Official Voting is now taking place for the new Winnona Park Neighborhood Association's (WPNA) logo!

All WPNA members in good standing may vote and should have received an email with voting instructions. If you have not received an email but feel you are a member of the WPNA please contact treasurer@winnonapark.org.

The winner will be announced at the upcoming WPNA meeting at 7 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Winnona Park Elementary.

Winnona Park is getting a new Logo and we need your ideas!!

It is time to create our own Winnona Park neighborhood logo!!! This will be different from the school logo and will represent what the neighborhood and community mean to all of us. Once we have the logo, we can use it across all mediums (website, Facebook, t-shirts, car magnets, home banners, signs and posters, etc. to represent our brand to the rest of Decatur.

So... we need your help!! You know and love Winnona park, so we want your logo ideas and submissions. Here is the schedule for the logo submission and selection:

Now through July 11th: Submit your logo ideas/images by emailing them to board@winnonapark.org or by posting them on the Winnona Park Facebook page. . Anyone can submit; you do not have to be a WPNA member of even a resident of the neighborhood to make a submission.

Week of July 14th: WPNA Executive Committee will combine all submissions and prepare for posting and neighborhood review.

Rest of July: We will encourage "feedback/commentary/likes" on all of the submissions.

First two weeks of August: The Executive Committee will narrow the logo submissions down to a reasonable level (top 3, 4, etc.) based on the public feedback.

August or early September membership Community Meeting: The final choices will be advertised and put to a vote at the meeting. Only current members will vote.

So let's see some logos!!!

Team Decatur has invited Winnona Park to join Team Decatur as a WPNA group for the Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk and Fitness Program.

Team Decatur is a group of City of Decatur residents, employees and friends who participate in the annual KP Run/Walk 5K. This year's event is Thursday evening, September 11, at Turner Field.

Members have fun, get fit, and get a FREE Team Decatur t-shirt to wear during the race. Team members join together before and after the run/walk at the Team Tent to enjoy refreshments and make new friends at the "World's Largest Office Party!" Last year Team Decatur had over 200 members - half runners, half walkers, ages 13 to 83!

We would love to have a strong showing for Winnona Park - there will be special swag and prizes for our WPNA group!

The big after party is all complimentary - food catered by Oakhurst Market!
